James “Scott” Hogan, 37, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Navicent Health in Macon. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2022, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Pastor Mike Bennett officiating. Scott will be laid to rest at Omega Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Luke Hogan, Tracy Hale, Miguel Martinez, Jay Dorsey, Dallas Harmon and Nicholas Dillard will serve as pallbearers.
Born January 25, 1985, in Tifton, Scott was the son of Anthony Scott Hogan and his wife Vonia and Tawana Pasala Geiger and her husband Jim, all of Tifton. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Russell and Josephine Hogan, Gene and Joyce Mainor, Johnny “Cager” Hogan, and Roy and Ruby Pitts, and a sister, Lakeshia Fogarty. He worked in construction. He was a mama’s boy, and he loved his children dearly. He loved to go camping, shoot pool, fish and watch the Georgia Bulldogs. He was quite the jokester and loved family get-togethers and he was a grill-master.
In addition to his parents, Scott is survived by his children, Cager Hogan and Kyleigh Hogan, both of South Carolina and Reid Bennett of Tifton; his grandmother, Mary Geiger; his brothers, Mark Hogan, Michael Dietrick (Mariah) and Alex Geiger; his sisters, Amber Fogarty Holmes, Tiffany Vago (Mike) and Amanda McBride (Jordan); and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
