Ellen J. (Simmons) Rodrigues, 91, of Fall River, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, October 16, 2022. She was the wife of the late Joseph Rodrigues.
Born in Little Compton, she was daughter of the late Myron F. Simmons, Sr. and the late Mary (Oliveira) Simmons. Prior to retirement, she was a home health aide for Fall River Community Health Care. Mrs. Rodrigues was a Communicant of St. George Church, Westport. Her greatest joy was spending time with all of her grandchildren.
Survivors include a son: Joseph Rodrigues and his fiancée Christine Sarlo of Fall River; 2 daughters: Cheryl A. Reynolds and her husband Robert of Fall River and Brenda L. Boucher of Swansea; a brother: Myron F. Simmons, Jr. of Little Compton; 4 grandchildren: Jennifer, Megan, Mikaela and Mitchell; 6 great grandchildren; a great great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
She was sister of the late Doris Sawyer, Ethel Rodrigues, Phyllis Mello, Jeannette Gagne and Elizabeth Simmons and mother-in-law of the late Armand Boucher.
Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, October 20, 2022 at St. George Church, Westport at 11:00 A.M.
Visitation will be Thursday from 9-10:30 A.M. at the Potter Funeral Home, prior to the Mass.
Burial will be Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
