Angelo R. Saporito, 75, passed away at his home on October 13, 2022. He was the husband of Rosemary A. (Capozzi) Saporito, they would have celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary next month.
He was born on July 11, 1947 in Riesi, Sicily. He was the son of Charles Saporito and Tina (Boncore) Saporito. Along with his family he relocated to Genoa, and then the United States. He grew up in Medford, graduated from Medford High School, and then went on to obtain a certificate in business from Bryant & Stratton College. Most recently he made his home in Tewksbury and worked as a clerk for various area grocery stores throughout his life. He retired from Stop and Shop ten years ago.
He was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed playing basketball, baseball and football in his younger days. Angelo and his wife Rose loved to travel together, and he cherished time spent with his grandchildren. In his free time, he could often be found tending to his vegetable garden.
In addition to his wife Rosemary Saporito of Tewksbury, he is survived by his three children, Sandra Grandmont and her husband Christopher of Londonderry, NH, Susan Heimsath and her husband Steven of Londonderry, NH, and Stephen Saporito and his wife Jennifer of Tewksbury; his grandchildren Alexis, Emily, Ethan, Samantha, Daniela and Jacklyn; his great grandson Wyatt, as well as his siblings Salvatore Saporito of Tewksbury, Richard Saporito and his wife Karen of Wilmington, Gina Saporito and her partner Scott Michaud of Orlando, FL. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
