Obituary

Glen J. Bauer, 60

Dateline: Mansfield, MA

Glen J. Bauer, 60 of Mansfield, MA passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday Oct. 16, 2022. He was born on March 29, 1962 in Brockton MA. Glen was the son of the late William (Bill) Bauer and the late Connie (Field) Bauer. He leaves behind his loving wife, Dorine (Boyd) Bauer; children, Glen J. Bauer Jr and his wife Stephanie of North Attleboro, Raymond Bauer of Easton, granddaughters, Olivia Bauer and Madelyn Bauer, his late brother William Bauer (Billy), several nieces and nephews, friends and his beloved dog Rocco .

Glen’s gracious personality shined in all facets of his life. He was always willing to go the extra mile to help coworkers, family, friends and any person he met along the way. He loved spending time with his family and playing games with his granddaughter. He was also an avid fan of the NE Patriots & Boston Bruins. His competitive nature always made playing cards or doing puzzles quite the experience. He loved to talk smack and get everyone riled up but in the very best way.
But of all the things Glen liked to do, his favorite was sharing the house in Maine. He loved giving tours around the lake, pointing out where the latest Eagle’s nest was.
He had an amazing ability to find solutions to most any problem. Many of his friends called him “Mr. Fix It.” From taking apart any piece of machinery to building something from ground up, he could do it all and made it look easy. His love for sharing stories and his quick wit will forever leave us all with huge smiles and hearty laughs.

In true Glen Bauer fashion, he fought his cancer battle with determination, courage and dignity. He left us with a very important life lesson to never take life for granted. Throughout this time, he continued to work, lived his life to the fullest, and spent lots of quality time with those he loved.

A sincere thank you to the team at Smith & Nephew, Mansfield, MA, Dr Daniel Robert’s, his favorite nurse Lizzy @ Dana Farber and Hope Health Hospice and staff.
