Obituary

WEST BALDWIN- James Charles Boyle, formerly of Concord, NH passed away on October 14, 2022 after a long illness
with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). Jim was born in Cambridge, MA on November 15, 1944 the eldest son of
Gilbert and Mary Boyle.
Jim graduated from St. John High School in 1962, where he was an active athlete, playing basketball and baseball. He
was a member of the 1962 St. John basketball team which won the State Championship. Jim had many fond memories
of Rollins Park, where he spent many days playing sports with his friends. Jim served with the US Army, spending a year
in Vietnam. He graduated from Bryant and Stratton College in Boston. His career began at the Lawrence Eagle Tribune
and he later owned Concord Business Journal.
Jim leaves his companion and best friend of several years, Patricia Mitchell of West Baldwin, Me; his sisters, Betty
Monica (Paul) of Great Falls, Virginia, Elaine Brodeur (Donald) of Concord, NH and a brother Robert Boyle (Jenny) of
Hudson, NH. Jim was predeceased by sisters Anne Lafond (Bernie) and Kathleen Kiley (Kevin) as well as youngest
brother, Kevin Boyle. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
In Jim's later years he loved to travel with Patty, especially enjoying Ireland and winter vacations in Florida. Any free
time was spent on the beaches of NH and Maine where he reflected on a lifetime of family vacations and enjoyed his
retirement years. Memorial Services will be private. To honor Jim and his love of the ocean, his name is inscribed on
Plaque Seven, Serenity Point, located on the Marginal Way, Oqunquit, ME. Online condolence messages can be
