Steven Patrick MacKenzie Sr. “Steve” passed away on October 11th at home at the young age of 51.
He was born and grew up in Dorchester, MA. Loving husband to Julia (Dankese) MacKenzie and loving father to his children Victoria Dankese, Kerrin (MacKenzie) Jean and her husband Jeffrey Jean and Steven MacKenzie Jr. He was the beloved son of the late James MacKenzie and Elizabeth “Betty” MacKenzie.He was the brother of Mary McGee and her husband Edward McGee, Kathleen Conroy and her husband Sean Conroy and James MacKenzie Jr. He was also an uncle to many nieces and nephews.Steven was the kindest and funniest guy in the room to all that knew him, and never let a joke go unsaid.
He loved to spend his days watching the Boston Bruins, Going to family cookouts, playing with his dog Maddie, going fishing and laughing with his children. He will be sorely missed by his friends and family, but will never be forgotten.
His funeral service will be held on Monday October 17th at Saint Ambrose Parish on 240 Adams St. Dorchester, MA 02122 at 10:00 AM.
