Nellie R. O'Neil, 80, of Manchester, NH, died Monday, May 22, 2006 in the Elliot Hospital in Manchester. Mrs. O'Neil was born in Portland, ME on July 22, 1925, a daughter of the late Amos O. and Winifred (Dennison) Lane. She was a resident of Manchester for the past six months, formerly living in York, ME and Derry, NH. She was a graduate of Lynn English High School in Lynn, MA. Mrs. O'Neil had been employed as an administrative assistant for Northern Trust Bank in Sarasota, FL. She was a member of the Episcopal Church and was confirmed Episcopalian at St. Stevens in Lynn, MA. Mrs. O'Neil enjoyed sitting by the ocean at her cottage in York, ME and enjoyed spending time with friends.
She is survived by two sons, Bryan L. O'Neil and wife Jane of Londonderry, NH, John J. O'Neil Jr. of Windsor, VT, and four grandchildren, Erin Aidan, Tristan O'Neil, Amy O'Neil and Amanda O'Neil.
Calling hours were on Wednesday, May 24th from 5 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 25th at 11:00am in the funeral home. The burial was in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Londonderry.
