Ernest R. Osborne, 79, of Medway, died unexpectedly on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Lynda P. (Fontaine) Osborne for 52 years.
Born in Boston on November 1, 1942, he was the son of the late Ernest J. and Olga (Lucas) Osborne.
Ernest was a resident of Medway for the past 3 years and formerly resided in Marshfield. He grew up in Randolph and graduated from Randolph High School.
Ernest proudly served in the Army Reserve as a cook during the late 60’s and early 70’s.
He worked as an electrician for over 40 years and was a member of the IBEW Local 103.
Ernest enjoyed living and always said yes to any adventure. He was a hard worker, master at construction projects and could fix anything and everything. He had a kind heart and spent time volunteering his time building handicap ramps and house projects for those who needed help. He fished, enjoyed old cars, traveled, loved to eat and on any weekend you would find him on the softball field or basketball court cheering on as his granddaughter’s biggest fan.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Kerry Osborne Azzu of Medway and Dedra Osborne Beckett of Wayland and his granddaughter Sophia Beckett of Wayland.
He was the brother of the late Kent Osborne, brother-in-law of Kathy Gruber, Uncle Oz to Scott, Tracy and Jennifer, and friend/mentor to Ron.
