Obituary

On September 26th, 2022, Bonnie Lavonne Allen passed away peacefully at the age of 86 years old. She was born to Ralph and Lela Lee Myers on July 10th, 1936, in Wray, Colorado. She was married to Warren Allen on March 4th, 1967, in Carson City, NV, and they were happily married until his passing in 1991. A longtime Prosser resident, Bonnie was well-loved in her small town. She worked for many years and eventually retired from the Prosser Food Depot and spent countless hours volunteering at the Prosser Senior Center and with Meals on Wheels, as well as volunteering at the annual Wine and Food Fair. Despite her busy schedule, Bonnie always made time for her loved ones. Bonnies greatest joy was to bring happiness to her community, and each holiday season, she did this through her festively adorned home. Bonnie was a talented baker, and everyone craved her Christmas peanut brittle and pistachio dessert. She especially loved hosting her annual Labor Day Parade Picnic and making her famous potato soup for Halloween.

She is survived by her nieces, nephews, the Hoffman family, and all of her beloved friends.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Allen; her parents, Ralph and Lela Lee Myers; her brothers, Claude Myers and Glenn Myers; her sisters, Phyllis Freeman and Harriet Sandjer; her best friend, Kathy Hoffman. Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 14th, 2022, at the Prosser Cemetery at 11 a.m. Followed by a reception at EJ Miller Park in Prosser, WA.
