WORCESTER - Dorothy M McNeil 95, died peacefully on Wed Oct 13, 2022. She was predeceased by her husband 64 years, Paul McNeil who died 2014. She is survived by four children, Eileen Clark and her husband Richard of Holden, Brian and his wife Cynthia of Fitchburg, Kevin and his wife Karen of Sutton, Maureen Trimby and her husband Brian of Oakham; brother Robert Eckland and his wife Catherine of Millbury, seven grandchildren, Jenney Montvitt, Brian McNeil, Sean Trimby , Lisa Trimby , Daniel McNeil , Jeffrey McNeil and, Peter Hansen and several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by three brothers William Eckland of Waltham and Philip Eckland of Texas and Edward Eckland of Worcester.
The family is extremely grateful for the compassion and care given by Oakdale Nursing Home during the past 4 years.
Dorothy was born in Milford Mass April 28, 1927 daughter of William and Eileen (Ahearn) Eckland of Worcester. She graduated from Commerce High School Class 1945 She worked in the Accounting Department for the Town of Shrewsbury for 20 yrs plus years till retiring. She and her family lived in New Bedford Mass for 16 years and she worked for Continental Screw in the Accounting Department for several years.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 10-11:30 a.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln Street Worcester. A funeral service will follow at 11:30a.m. in the funeral home.
