Obituary

On Tuesday, October 11th, 2022, Leden “Mr. Lee” Gilot, a loving husband and father of four, passed away at the age of 62 loosing the unfortunate battle of cancer. Lee was born June 2, 1960 in Grand-Saline, Artibonite, Haiti. He emigrated into the United Stated in the late 1980’s to Miami, Florida. He eventually settled down in Boston, MA, where he ran his career as Taxi Driver and a Socialite.

In his free time, Lee enjoyed spending his time listening to Kompa, playing soccer and indulging in his entrepreneurial spirit. He was known for always cracking jokes and bringing a smile to many peoples’ faces as he was the light of every conversation. His smile, especially his deep dimples was his signature and never went unnoticed.

Leden is survived by his wife, Marie Rose Gilot and two daughters, Denna Mary Gilot and Annell Gilot, and two sons, Fritz Samedy and Tiant Horne. He leaves behind his siblings, Rony Gilot, Georgonne Payen, Manite Gilot, Rose B. Desir, Denise Gilot, Mirey Gilot, Izalle Gilot, and Ludger Gilot. He also leaves behind 16 nieces, 7 nephews, 11 great-nieces, 8 great-nephews and many cousins.

In his remembrance, a wake service will be on Friday October 21, 2022 from 6-8 PM in the Joseph Russo Funeral Home, 814 American Legion Highway, Roslindale. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart Church, Roslindale, MA Interment will take place following the Mass at New Calvary Cemetery, 800 Harvard Street, Mattapan, MA
