Obituary

William Albert Fecteau, 76, of Londonderry, NH, passed away Tuesday October 11, 2022, surrounded by his loving family in Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, NH. He was born in Laconia, NH on October 1, 1946, a son of the late Leon and Florence (LaLiberty) Fecteau. Bill was a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School where he was the captain of the football team. He operated his own flooring installation company and was considered one of the best in the New England region. Bill was an avid sportsman who enjoyed the outdoors. He loved to hunt and fish, particularly the annual Father’s Day fishing trip to Pittsburg, NH. He enjoyed playing softball and bowling in leagues while the family lived in Newmarket, NH. Bill rooted for the local professional sports teams, and especially loved to cheer for the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. He loved to play cribbage with family and all his friends at the Londonderry Senior Center.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Patricia M. (Routhier) Fecteau, two sons, William Fecteau and his wife Martha; and Gary Fecteau and his partner Mari; one daughter, Christine Fecteau; three grandchildren: William, Erinn, and Hayden; a brother, Bruce Fecteau and his wife Linda, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Following cremation, memorial calling hours will be held on Monday October 17, 2022, from 9 -10:30am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:00 am in St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 40 Buttrick Rd, Suite B Londonderry, NH 03053.
