Joseph Thomas Salisbury, age 73, of Medford passed away on Sunday, October 9th, at Lahey Clinic Medical Center of Burlington. Raised and educated in Somerville, he was the son of the late Joseph J. and Margaret (Carrigan) Salisbury. Joseph proudly served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, after which he settled in Medford and was employed by the US Postal Service.
Joseph was the beloved husband of 51 years to Linda (Keough) Salisbury, and the devoted father of Dawn Guglielmo and her husband Michael of Newburyport, Jennifer Martignetti and her husband Victor of Weymouth, and Joseph Salisbury, Jr. and his wife Tammy of Brookline, NH. He was the loving grandfather of Mathew, Kaylie, Nicholas, Adam, Sophia, Emily, Lauren, Christian, Alyssa, Patrick, Philip, George and Jack, and the cherished great grandfather of Elena and Emilia. Joseph was the dear brother of Carol McLean and her husband Charles of Lunenburg, and William Salisbury and his wife Donna of Lowell. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Monday, October 17th at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with family on Sunday, October 16th from 2 through 6 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
