Nancy M. Phillips, 76, a longtime resident of Melrose, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 8, 2022, following a short period of declining health. Born in Everett, she was the beloved daughter of the late John J. and Jennie (Gangarossa) Frisoni.
Nancy was raised in West Medford and was a graduate of Medford High School. She went on to further her education and graduate from Framingham State College where she earned her degree in Education. For many years Nancy was a dedicated teacher for both the Burlington and Lawrence Public Schools. A lover of Arts & Culture, Nancy was a gifted piano player and taught ballroom dancing in her younger years. She loved all types of music, was an avid cook and gardener, and actively volunteered in her community. However, her greatest joy was her family, and nothing made her happier than to be surrounded by those she loved.
Nancy is survived by her children; Jason Phillips of Melrose, Betsy Salsman of Wakefield, and Sandy Duplessis and husband Matt of Framingham. She was the loving Nonni of Tighe Salsman, Nick and Kimee Duplessis. She is also survived by her sister JoAnn Dalimonte of Cape Cod.
