Nicholas A. “Nick” Venturo, age 92, passed away at home on August 7, 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born on June 4, 1930 in Massachusetts, a son of the late Vito and Mary (Grimaldi) Venturo. Nick served in the US Army and was a Korean War Veteran. He worked as a painter for most of his life and was a member of the Painters Union for over 30 years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Northampton and worked at Childs Toy Store in Northampton. Nick enjoyed playing Bingo, making stained glass and most of all, he enjoyed living in Las Vegas. Nick also enjoyed cooking at his sausage stand at the Northampton Three County Fair for many years . In the fall on weekends he cooked for the Lord Jeff’s Amherst College Football team. He would like to be remembered as “Just a Good Guy.” He is survived by his beloved wife Beverly (Przybylski) Venturo of Chicopee (formerly of Las Vegas); two step children, Mark LePage of Springfield and Michele Borowiec and her husband Robert of Chicopee; three grandsons Shaun Quigley and his wife Diane Querey, Washington DC; Michael LePage and his fiancé Tess Alexandra of West Brookfield MA ; Matthew LePage and his wife Theadora LePage of Westfield MA; a beautiful great grandchild, Maxwell A. Quigley of Washington DC; brother in law Matthew Przybylski Jr and his wife Judi of Springfield MA; one niece Mariann Lisa McKenna, her husband John McKenna and their children Nicholas and Michael. He is predeceased by his sister Marie Moulier. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. Burial will be private at a later date. In Lieu of Flowers donations may be made to Compasion Care Hospice
