Mary L. Kendrew, formerly of Kingston and Whitman, passed away at Hannah B. Shaw Home in Middleboro on October 7, 2022 at the age of 89.
She was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence A. Kendrew, devoted mother to Cindy Schulmeister, Patty Fredette, Brian Kendrew and Dorrie Kendrew. She is also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Born in Boston, she was provided love and care by her Grandma and Grandpa Spence and later adopted by her loving Aunt Dot and Uncle Bill Doane. Mary was a graduate of Howard High School in West Bridgewater and provided love and guidance to her family each day of her life.
Mary was a member of the Mayflower Congregational Church in Kingston. She was a devoted wife who cherished her husband of 60 years. She so loved spending time with her family and friends. Mary also enjoyed coffee frappes from Peaceful Meadows, picnics with Larry on the Plymouth Belle and their many adventures visiting family in California.
She was an amazing advocate for her youngest daughter and never stopped searching for God’s purpose in our lives. Mary will be missed but we know that she will be embraced by the love of her husband and family who passed before her.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 13th at 11:00 a.m. in the Oakland Cemetery, 20 Glebe Street in Taunton, MA.
