Obituary

Cheryl Ann Bradbury-Verchot left this world on October 6th 2022 at her home and with her family by her side. She was the wife of Kevin A. Verchot. They had been married for 18 years.

Born in Providence, RI, a daughter of Joan E. (Medeiros) Bradbury and the late Charles R. Bradbury. She had proudly lived in Foster for her whole life.

Cheryl was an accomplished artist, and her creations can be seen in many homes and businesses. Cheryl’s love of the arts compelled her to seek an education from Rhode Island School of Design and CCRI for interior design and fine arts. This led to rewarding positions with Stephen Brigidi Fine Photography, Paul King Foundry, Ethan Allen Design, and Browne and Hopkins General Store. She also enjoyed working for The Dioceses of Providence. Not to mention her entrepreneurial spirit which led her to open her own company, Creative Photography and Design. Each stage of her employment has left her with many friends and cherished memories. She truly missed her working friends when fighting pancreatic cancer became her full-time job.

Cheryl radiated positive energy and white light wherever she went, which helped her cultivate many friendships, some lifelong. Known for her constant beautiful smile, kind heart and finding beauty in almost everything. Cheryl will be sorely missed by many.

Cheryl loved animals, traveling, and photography, mostly, photographing new and exciting places, which led her to 17 different countries… some more than once.

Cheryl had a strong Christian faith, which was bolstered by her membership in St. Paul the apostle Church in Foster Rhode Island, and her (band of angels) her fellow communicants.

“ Let us all meet each other with a smile…. For the smile is the beginning of love”. -Mother Teresa –

Besides her husband and mother, she also leaves her brothers Michael Bradbury and his wife Tammy and Raymond Bradbury and his wife Heather, a brother-in-law Shawn Verchot and his wife Kristen, her therapy cat, Cosmo and her parrot, Dexter.

A Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday October 12 at 11am in St. Paul the Apostle Church, 116 Danielson Pike, Foster. Visitation Tuesday October 11 from 4-7pm in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Please use 2 Church Street, Greenville, RI for GPS. Burial will be private.
