Horace “Al” Almy of Lake St. Louis, Missouri passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at the age of 99 years, 10 months, and 24 days.
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 57 years, Diana Almy ofLake St.Louis; two daughters, Deborah Willard and husband, Robert of Lake St. Louis, MO and Laura Omholt and husband, David of McKinney, TX; six grandchildren, Jessica Hollander and husband,
Corey, Kaitlyn Geiss and husband, Kyle, Brandon Willard, Gretchen Omholt, Kirsten Omholt, and Lauren Omholt; one great grandson, Ryder Hollander; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Horace Arthur Almy was born November 3, 1922 in Tiverton, Rhode Island; son of the late Frederic Andrew Almy, Sr. and his wife, Viola Estelle Snell Almy. He proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Force during World War II, stationed in Italy. In 1951, Horace graduated from Brown University with a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering. He married the love of his life, Miss Diana Walters on December 11, 1965 and two daughters were born to this marriage. Horace worked for Westinghouse later becoming Electrolux of Sweden from 1951 to 1989. He was fortunate to stay with one company his entire career.
Horace was a true family man dedicated to providing for his family. His bright smile, beautiful blue eyes and pleasant personality will be remembered by all who knew him. Horace enjoyed woodworking and loved traveling. He had been to all 50 states and also many other countries. He enjoyed playing cards and games with his family, playing pool, golfing, fishing, and enjoying time with friends near and far.
Horace was preceded in death by two siblings, Frederic Andrew Almy, Jr and Ethel Almy Messenger.

Funeral Services were held on Monday, October 3rd at the Amicable Congregational Church with burial to follow in the Hillside Cemetery all in his hometown of Tiverton, RI.
