James Warren Ordway, Jr., 76, of Framingham, died peacefully and comfortably on Monday, October 3, 2022 surrounded by his family.
He was born on July 28, 1946 in Clinton the son of the late James Warren Ordway, Sr. and Hilda Edna (Mills) Ordway.
James is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 51 years, Jean Ellen (Hall) Ordway of Framingham. He was the loving father of James W. Ordway, III of Framingham; Jodi J. Horrigan and her husband Patrick Horrigan of Framingham and Julie R. Morin and her husband Ross Morin of Hudson. He was the brother of Judith Beauchaine of Berlin and Howard Ordway of Pepperell. Proud grandfather of Casey, Brianna, and Ryan Horrigan of Framingham and Avery and Connor Morin of Hudson. Also survived by one niece and four nephews.
James has been a resident of Framingham for over 48 years, spent his earlier years in Hudson and graduated from Hudson High School. He had a long and distinguished career as a Printing Press Technician and was associated with Xerox and Honeywell before retiring from Putnam.
He enjoyed coin collecting and traveling, especially to Las Vegas. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather to his family and will be remembered for always putting others before himself.
Visitations will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (off Rt 30), Wayland.
His funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 10:00 am.
Interment will follow in the Ordway family lot in Lakeview Cemetery, Wayland.
