Obituary

Jack Rottenberg died peacefully at the Life Care Center in Stoneham on October 3rd at the age of 93. Jack was born and raised in Everett and was a Veteran of the US Army and a world traveler. He worked for the Sanitation Department for the City of Everett until his retirement and was a lifelong member of the Revere Elks Lodge. Jack was the dear brother of the late Samuel Rottenberg, the late Betty Elfman Miller, and the late Pearl Savsovitz. He was the devoted uncle of Roberta Wanyo and her husband Richard, Joyce Rottenberg Meenes and her husband the late Ronald Meenes, Harry Rottenberg and his wife Debbie, Scott Savsovitz and his girlfriend Rhonda, and the late Howard Elfman. Jack was the great uncle of Christy Visconte and her husband Michael, Amanda DiGiovanni and her husband Adam, Jeffrey Meenes and his wife Nataly, and Scott Meenes and his longtime friend Heather. He was the great-great uncle of Santino Visconte, Anthony Visconte, Max Meenes, and Erika Meenes. The family would like to thank the staff at Life Care Center in Stoneham for the wonderful care they provided for their uncle. Services at the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Avenue, Chelsea on Thursday, October 6 at 11 AM. Interment to follow in Lynn. Contributions in his memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
