de Silva, Nigel Lee, Age 52, of West Roxbury passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on October 1, 2022, due to unforeseen complications following heart surgery. Nigel was the beloved husband of 29 years to Pamela J. (Baque) de Silva. Loving father of Cristian de Silva (BPD), Daniel de Silva and Brandon de Silva all of West Roxbury. Cherished brother of Larry de Silva and his wife Odile of Malden, Karen de Silva and her husband George Kalevas of Medford, Lisa Olton and her husband Beltron of Stoneham, Michele de Silva and her husband of New Hampshire, Nicholas de Silva of Boston and Sheldon de Silva of North Carolina, Daniel Baque, Leandro Baque, and the late Gezille Proudfoot. Dear uncle of Stefan, Kerri and Kevin, Niccolo, Lauren, Sophia, Alanna, Gabriella, John and Dane, Rebecca, Allison, Melissa, Leanne, Gianna and Leandro. He was the favorite child of the late Roma Y. (Youk-See) de Silva.
Nigel was a longtime Service Manager at INFINITI of Norwood where the friends he worked with were a second family to him. He loved his family dog, Libby, and walking Libby with Pam and the boys at Millennium Park. He enjoyed a nice steak dinner at Capital Grille with his family and friends. Nigel loved spending quality time with his family on the boat at Lake Ossipee in New Hampshire, bike riding, eating açaí bowls, cooking lobsters after a day on the lake and especially movie night in the living room with his family, even if that meant him falling asleep within the first five minutes. He always made us laugh and always put others first before himself. Nigel will be remembered by all as a helpful, caring, funny, and devoted husband, father, brother, friend, and neighbor. Nigel will be loved and missed dearly, and forever in our hearts.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours in the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre Street, WEST ROXBURY on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral from the funeral home on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Theresa Church at 10 o’clock. Interment Private.
