Mr. Brian K. Lane, a resident of Medford and beloved husband of Christine (Hassinger) Lane, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 25, 2022. Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Brian was the beloved son of Raymond and Jean (Murphy) Lane. He was 58 years old and was employed as a Technical Program Manager for Oracle for many years.
Brian LOVED the Detroit Red Wings, Pistons, Lions, and Tigers. His passion was so great that you would have thought he was an owner. Brian loved helping others. He was a mentor to anyone that needed help, even if they didn’t think they needed it, Brian knew he could help in some way. Words used to describe Brian by his family and friends are giver, mentor, big-hearted, one-of-a-kind, best friend, larger than life, selfless, great husband, proud father, honored grandfather, caring son, and the list just goes on. Brian loved his family, and he made sure they were his top priority; his friends and acquaintances were a close second.
Besides his beloved wife, Christine, and his parents, Raymond and Jean, Brian is survived by his loving son, Matthew R. Lane; grandson, Jordan R. Reum Lane; brother, Kevin P. Lane and his wife, Laurie, of Lexington; mother-in-law, Dagny Hassinger, of Trumbull, Connecticut; and sister-in-law, Cathryn A. Lee, and her husband, Eric, of Trumbull, Connecticut. Brian was the crazy uncle and is survived by Brayden, Dylan, Addison, Amanda, and Ben. He was also the son-in-law of the late George A. Hassinger.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home of Medford. In lieu of flowers, donations in Brian’s memory can be made payable to Arlington Catholic HS with "financial aid" in the memo and mailed to: Development Office, Arlington Catholic High School, 16 Medford Street, Arlington, MA 02474; you can also go online: Click Here.
