In Bristol, Carol Ann Costova of Raynham, age 63, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022. She was the loving wife of John J. Costova whom she shared 32 years of marriage. She was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late John J. & Beverly (Miller) Brothers. A resident of Taunton most of her life, raised and educated in Aurora, Illinois, returning to Taunton with her parents in 1978.
Carol Ann and her husband moved to the town of Raynham in 2000. A graduate of Johnson & Wales University for secretarial, and Suffolk University of Law School as a paralegal, graduating third in her class. She was child advocate with SPSPG (Special Education Surrogate Parent Program), working on behalf of special need children with EDCO (Collaborative Education of Southeastern Massachusetts).
Surviving in addition to her husband are her two sons, Alexander Valiery Costova, his companion Brittney Rose, Christopher Sergei Costova and his companion Crystal Gagne, and her grandsons Lenox Matthew Costova, Jaxon Gagne and Jace Davies, her late brother Dr. Michael J. Brothers, D.M.V, his wife Elizabeth “Beth” Brothers of Portland, CT., a nephew Andrew “Andy” J. Brothers and his wife Amy, her sister in law Ellen Brothers, and her uncle John F. “Jack” Miller and wife Lorraine of Taunton, two cousins David Miller and Linda “Miller” Wesson.
Carol’s passions included quilt making, her dogs, playing piano and her son’s Alex’s composing of music and lyrics. One of her greatest enjoyments was spending cherished time with family and close friends, summer vacations doing the Theme Parks east of the Mississippi down to Florida with her husband and children.
Funeral home visiting hours will be held at the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Sunday, Oct. 2nd from 5-7pm. Her funeral home service will be on Monday at 11am. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, (No red flowers please) donations may be made to the Diabetic Research Foundation or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
