Virginia B. (Dishman) Foley, age 88, of Brockton, died peacefully at her home on September 27, 2022. She was the loving wife of the late Kenneth A. Foley. Born and raised in Detroit, MI, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Geraldine (Brandau) Dishman.
A 1952 graduate of Edwin Derby High School in Michigan, Virginia was a resident of Brockton since 1953. She worked at the Brockton Hospital for over 14 years, retiring in 1989. She was an active communicant of St. Nicholas Church and volunteer at Brockton Hospital. An avid reader, Virginia also enjoyed gardening, traveling and ceramics. She was a member of the Brockton Mothers Bowling League and Whitman Mixed Bowling League.
Virginia is survived by her children David Foley and his wife Lovina of Riverside, CA; Geraldine Foley of Holbrook; Katherine O’Connor of Camarillo, CA; Maureen Cerminara of Lancaster, CA; Beverly Ellis and her husband Howie of Lake Quivira, KS and Daniel Foley of Brockton. She also leaves 9 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, (Rte. 123) Brockton Monday, October 3, from 10-11am, followed by a funeral service at 11am. Burial in Knollwood Memorial Park.
