Richard O’Leary, age 82, ascended into the Journey of Everlasting Life on September 18, 2022 at Baystate Medical Center. Richard was born on August 13, 1940 in Springfield, a son of the late William and Mary (Norman) O’Leary. Richard Served in the US Airforce. He later worked as an electronic technician for Hamilton Standard for many years before he retired, plus was the owner and photographer of Bonnie Ann Studio and owner and Computer designer of Microtec. He was predeceased by his wife Arline (Turner) O’Leary who passed away in 2020. He is survived by three sons, Richard W. O’Leary Jr of Springfield, Michael O’Leary of FL and William O’Leary of Westfield and stepson Anthony Turner and his wife Christina; Two daughters, Bonnie Gagne and her husband Ronald of Springfield and Kelly Hover-Greer of New Jersey. He also leaves one sister, Nancy Foley of East Longmeadow, along with many beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will miss him dearly. Richard had many likes and hobbies. He had a love for music which he shared with many when he performed as part of the Dual Tones. Richard had an interest and passion for flight. He pursued and received his pilot’s license. A jokester, he enjoyed making people laugh with his colorful humor. Richard enjoyed staying ahead of the technology curve and his career in electronics and his joy of photography kept him on the leading edge of change. His generosity often shone through when people were in need. A private service will be held at a later date. The Grise Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
