Joseph H. Walsh 72 years old, of North Easton, MA, passed away early Monday morning, September 26, 2022. After battling illness for the past year, Joe died peacefully, spending his final moments in the company of his loving wife of 49 years, Sandra (Moses) Walsh, and his two devoted daughters.
Son of the late Margaret “Eileen” Walsh and Joseph H. Walsh, Joe was born in Brockton, MA where he lived for many years. He graduated from Xavarian Brothers High School in 1968, from Boston College in 1972 and from BC Law School in 1975. He was a respected, accomplished attorney with a focus on litigation and personal wealth planning. Joe was a member of The Massachusetts Bar Association, American Bar Association, Suffolk Bar Association, and Plymouth Bar Association. In 1982, he was duly admitted and qualified as an attorney and counselor of the Supreme Court of the United States of America. He established his own firm, Menard & Walsh, in Boston, MA, where he most recently practiced.
Joe enjoyed traveling, especially on overseas River Cruises, and golfing trips to Hilton Head, SC. He was an active member of Thorny Lea Golf Club in Brockton, MA where he formed many lifelong friendships. He was also a dedicated Red Sox Fan, and he regularly supported them from his seats at Fenway Park. Most importantly, he treasured time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Sandra, Joe is survived by his two daughters Katie (Walsh) Evans and her husband Gareth Evans and Chrissie (Walsh) Dwyer and her husband Jason Dwyer. Joe also leaves behind his four grandchildren Jake, Lily, Connor, and Justin, who knew and loved him best as “Papa.” Beyond his immediate family, Joe was beloved by his extended family members: his brothers and sisters in law Joe and Marilyn Moses and Candy and the late Kenny Raymond; his nieces and nephews Mark and Lauren (Palazzi) Moses, Leah (Moses) and David Flynn; and great-niece and nephews Henry, Jack and Nora.
