It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Esperanza “Pera” Guerrero, 66, of Ventura, California. Esperanza worked many different jobs in her life, from seamstress to home-maker, caregiver to housekeeper. Her proudest professional accomplishment was earning her CNA. She spent the last decade as a CNA in Minidoka, Idaho, but she was not just any CNA. She became your friend. Esperanza was kind, soft-spoken, and giving. She was the place of comfort for many.
Esperanza loved to read. She read anything she could get her hands on. Often saying, “I want to keep working my mind and body for as long as God will allow me.”
After a courageous battle with glioblastoma, Esperanza passed away on September 18, 2022, in Thousand Oaks, California. Esperanza is survived by her children: Fernando Guerrero, Sandra Weber, Maria Guerrero, and Jennifer Guerrero of Ventura, Ca., spouse, Julio Pedraza, and grandchildren: Kaylee and Dylan H., Jackson and Juliette W.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours to be held at the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street, Ventura on Wednesday September 28, 2022, from 4 to 8pm, where a Most Holy Rosary will be recited at 7pm. A Liturgy of Christian Burial Funeral Mass will follow at Mission San Buenaventura on Thursday September 29, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will then immediately follow at Santa Clara Catholic Cemetery, Oxnard.
…To our dear mom, we know that we can’t have you here but we’re happy that the angels have finally got you back.
Goodbye to a wonderful woman and a beautiful mother.
