Patricia Ann Carney (McDermott), age 66 passed away on September 7th, 2022.
Pati was born on May 29th, 1956 in Weymouth, the fifth of nine children. She spent most of her childhood playing with her siblings, riding bikes and at the park in the Birches.
Pati was an active person who enjoyed dancing, aerobics, soccer, softball, playing pool, and hula hooping.
On her days off, if she was not cooking or cleaning, you’d find her reading Danielle Steele books and watching Little House on the Prairie or the Waltons.
She worked hard her whole life, as a hairdresser, housekeeper and eventually a supervisor at Talbots, first in Hingham then Lakeville for 25 years.
She raised two beautiful children who will always remember the way she could make an Italian feast with a few simple ingredients, and how she could decorate for the holidays with supplies from the dollar store, especially Valentine’s Day which was her favorite.
After she visited your house, you could be sure that all your beds would have hospital corners and would smell of bleach.
She was considerate and will be remembered for sending greeting cards for all occasions to her friends and family.
Nona adored her grandchildren and loved taking them on outings from the beach to the candy store.
She was a proud member of the Marshfield Elks and liked to volunteer For many charity events in her community.
