WHITMAN
Lori (Archer) Toomey, 60, died Friday at South Shore Hospital, after a courageous and inspirational battle with cancer. She was the wife of Richard Toomey of Whitman
Born in Dorchester, brought up in Canton, daughter of the late Sumner and Olive (McWhirk) Archer
Mrs. Toomey has been a resident of Whitman for 31 years ,a member and past president of the Whitman Mothers Club ,she was also was involved in the semi pro football team the Randolph Oilers with concessions, fund rising and more.
She was a longtime employee for the Perkins Paper Company in Taunton as an Administrative Assistant.
Lori loved, sewing, cooking and entertaining.
She is survived by her husband Richard Toomey of Whitman Christopher Toomey and his devoted girlfriend Sharon Weber of Whitman, Nicole Tropeano and her husband Rick of Abington, Erin Petersen and her husband Ryan of East Bridgewater, sister of Marjorie O’Kane and her husband Peter of Randolph, Virginia Nye and her late husband Edward of Whitman; also the overjoyed Nana of Luke Tropeano who was born May 1st.; also several sister and brother’s in laws, nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral will be held Tuesday May 23rd at 9:15 A.M. from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Route 58 at the Rotary Circle) Whitman, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 A.M. in the Holy Ghost Church, School Street Whitman Visiting hours Monday May 22nd 2-4 and 7-9. Burial will follow in the St. James Cemetery, Whitman, MA. Donations may be made in her name to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West 6th Floor, Brookline, MA. 02445
