Carolyn Ann Lawrence, 57, of Worcester, died on Monday, September 19, 2022, in St. Vincent Hospital. She is survived by her wife of thirteen years Robyn Larson; sons, Curtis Mason of Worcester; Marcus Thompson of Florida, stepchildren, Janelle Larson and Leith Larson, of Worcester; five grandchildren, Josh, Luis, Isabella, Aryanna and Malakai, mother, Edna Mason of Virginia and many siblings. She is predeceased by her father Howard Lawrence.
Ms. Lawrence was one of sixteen children born in Providence Forge, New Kent County, Virginia. She worked over thirty years as a patient care assistant, worked in UMass Memorial for some time along with many other private care companies. She was counselor to all in need and additionally a gospel minister. She attended the St. Francis adult program where daily she could continue praising his name and have discussion of the Word.
Carolyn had a very strong faith in GOD. She never met a stranger nor a person she couldn’t speak to. She was always there to help and assist. Her kindness and openness precede her. She always owned every room she walked into. She was always available to lend an ear, telling the truth and letting people know that “you are worthy.” Her laughter and memories will be treasured and never be forgotten.
Not only was it a privilege and honor but also a blessing to be in her presence. Her love guided her wife to a life of love and laughter. They swore together they would “ride until the wheels came off.”
She enjoyed playing card games such as cribbage, spades, etc., traveling and spending time with friends and family.
She was an angel on earth with a couple ruffled feathers. Her heart would wrap around you where you knew you were loved. May your light shine in the heavens as must as it shined on us here.
After cremation, a funeral service will be held at 3:30 pm following visitation with family on Saturday, October 1, 2022, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street, Worcester.
