WEBSTER – Genowefa J. (Serbin) Karlowicz, 54, of 47 Upland Avenue, died Thursday, May 18, at her home after an illness.
She leaves her husband of 36 years, Tadeusz S. Karlowicz; a daughter, Katarzyna M. Wysocki and her husband Grzegorz of Hampden; a son, Piotr Karlowicz of Webster; her mother, Amalia (Karczynski) Serbin of Poland; 2 brothers, Bronislaw and Janek Serbin, both of Poland; 2 grandsons, Andrew and Daniel Wysocki; nieces and nephews.
She was born in Sanok, Poland, the daughter of the late Eugeniusz Serbin. She completed her high school and college studies in Poland, and moved here in 1987.
Mrs. Karlowicz was a lens inspector at Gentex in Dudley. She was a member of Saint Andrew Bobola Church in Dudley. She enjoyed puzzles and reading. She especially treasured her grand-children.
The funeral will be held Monday, May 22, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace. Calling hours are from 3:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday, May 21, in the funeral home.
