Tefan T. Ivy, age 32, of Malden, passed away suddenly September 4th.
Tefan Trevor Ivy was born at Kingston Public Hospital in Kingston, Jamaica on April 9,1990. He was the first child of Trevor Ivy and the only child of Marvia Thomas.
His humble beginnings began at the St. Cyprian's Preparatory School until 1999, when he emigrated to the United States to live with his father and stepmother in Malden. He continued his elementary education at the Ferry Way Elementary School and later the Beebe Elementary School in Malden Massachusetts. Tefan further pursued his education and High School Diploma at the Northeast Metro Technical, where his interest was sparked in the Culinary Arts and Football.
In 2011 Tefan proudly joined the Marine Corp and faithfully served this country for three and a half years, which included a one-year tour in Afghanistan. After this experience, Tefan needed some time to gather himself and decided to return to his beloved homeland of Jamaica, where he rekindled relationships with childhood friends and family.
Upon his return to the United States Tefan met his love Kushiya Lewis and their relationship produced a beautiful baby girl 'little Amina Ivy'. This little baby girl was the apple of his eye, and he was devoted to the task of being the best and most overprotective father there ever was.
Tefan was employed by his father's tobacco company in Brockton, MA as a Warehouse Manager and Forklift Operator. He knew he needed to provide for his family, and he did. Tefan loved and was loved deeply, he would often grace us --'his family"-- with his presence at various family events and was always welcoming. He came ready to eat good spicy food and have a good time!
He will be remembered for many things; his love of reading, his personality, his laughter, his dance moves, his helpfulness, but he will mostly be remembered for his loyalty to his family and friends.
Tragically, on Friday, September 9, 2022, Tefan's life was cut short, but he will always be remembered and loved. He leaves to cherish his memory his father, Trevor Ivy, Mother Marvia Thomas. Partner Kushiya Lewis and their daughter Amina Ivy. Sister's Samantha, Isabella, and Olivia Ivy along with his Grandparents, Aunts, Cousins, and a host of other relative and friends too numerous to mention.
Tefan ... you will forever be etched in our hearts, and we hope someday to meet again. Until then, we will hold onto the precious memories and love you gave us.
Rest in Peace.
Funeral service at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Saturday morning at 10:30. Burial to follow at Knollwood memorial Park, Canton.
