Lionel Alphonse (75) of Brockton died September 21st in Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. He was the husband of Marie (Tilhomme) Alphonse of Brockton.
He was born in Port Au Prince, Haiti son of the late Charles Alphonse and Marie Anne (Pierre) Alphonse. Lionel was a retired truck driver in his home country of Haiti and was a communicant of Christ the King Church. He enjoyed riding his bike, praying, listening to Haitian music and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife he is survived by 4 sons, Jacques and Stanley Alphonse both of Brockton and Junior and Rodrigues Alphonse both of Boston, 2 daughters, Marie Elizabeth and Elmire Alphonse both of Brockton, a brother Charles Alphonse of Brockton, a sister Maude Alphonse of Brockton, 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Friday September 30th at 9 am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in Christ the King Church, 54 Lyman Street Brockton at 10:30 am. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery, 88 N Pearl Street Brockton. Visitation in the Funeral Home Thursday September 29th from 6-9 pm.
