Joyce A. (Mahan) Blanchard, age 77, passed away on Sept. 15, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born on June 5, 1945 in Springfield, a daughter of the late John F. and Anita A. (Fisher) Mahan. Joyce graduated from Holy Name School and attended Assumption College. She worked as a secretary for Harry Peters CPA for over 40 years and became close friends with the family before she retired. She enjoyed reading, shopping, family trips to Hampton Beach and most of all spending time with her family. She is survived by 2 sons, Paul Blanchard and Alexis Sturgis of Charlton and Michael Blanchard and his wife Heidi of Sturbridge; 3 daughters, Linda Fountain and her husband Dennis of Three Rivers, Sandra Deyo and her husband Anthony of Palmer and Debra Rossmeisl and her husband Jason of West Springfield; 1 brother, John “Jack” Mahan and his wife Joanne of East Longmeadow; 2 sisters Janice Klaus of Ft Myers, FL and Linda LaPlume of Trenton, GA; 11 grandchildren, Sarah, Zachary, Rachael and her husband Zachery, Amanda and her husband Nathaniel, Jacob, Holly and her fiancé Drew, Judith, Bailey, Adam, Ryan and Chase; 2 great grandchildren Madison and Emily along with her dear friend Jean Gallant of Elizabethtown, NC and her beloved cat Skiddles. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2022 from 4:00 -7:00 PM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, Sept. 26, 2022 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the Grise Funeral Home with an in house prayer service at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
