LIMINGTON- On September 16, 2022, with his family by his side, Craig Randall Harmon lost his long, courageous battle with brain cancer.
Craig was born October 10, 1984 in Portland, to John & Diana Harmon
Craig was a talented, self-employed master plumber, an avid hunter, a selfless friend to many and the best husband, son, brother, uncle we could have wanted. Truly, a one of a kind man.
As a child, Craig loved sports. He played basketball and baseball for his home town teams. Later in life, he began cheering on his New England teams, but most importantly, his Boston Bruins. His love for dirt biking also began as a child with Mike “Tinker” Roy right by his side, who remained his life long friend & brother. Tinker’s father, Dick Roy, was like a father to Craig and taught him karate and many important things about life.
Craig enjoyed everything the outdoors had to offer. If you couldn’t find him, he was most likely tracking his next deer, or four-wheeling throughout his property, which he loved. Special thanks to the friends that helped us get Craig back on his trails these last couple months with their ATV.
For almost 22 years, beginning at age 16, Craig learned and mastered the plumbing trade with his mentor and dear friend, Rob Dorr. Rob would say that he may have taught Craig a lot about plumbing but Craig taught him so much more about life. Craig always enjoyed meeting and helping each one of his customers.
The last several months were spent taking each day as they came and making them the best days we could. "Today is a good day to have a good day" was our motto. Craig even traveled back to Jackman twice since the spring. One of those times meeting an iconic hunter he enjoyed to follow and learn from through podcasts. We spent many days reminiscing on his life well lived.
Craig is predeceased by his father John Randall Harmon, maternal grandparents, paternal grandfather and his best buddies Coal & Dink.
He is survived by his beloved wife Elizabeth Harmon of Limington, mother & step father Diana & Jeff Levinson of Hyde Park, NY, sister Amy Harmon of Limerick, step brothers Alec and Scott Levinson, paternal grandmother Susan Harmon, parent-in-laws Bob & Tracey Bouthiet of Buxton, brother-in-law & sister-in-law Mark & Ali Pennell, parents of his niece Emma of Hollis, grandparent-in-laws Bob & Peggy of Buxton, along with cousins, many close friends and of course his best buddies Odin, TomTom, Stella, Nova, Oscar & the goaties.
On behalf of the family, we want to thank the following: Hospice of Southern Maine, MMC Oncology; Christine Lu- Emerson, Dana Farber Clinical Trial team and the countless family and friends who spent the last 6 months visiting, sending cards, dropping off meals and making sure Craig knew how loved he was.
Thank you to Hal Blood with Big Wood Bucks who welcomed Craig into his home to help fulfill his bucket-list.
Thank you to Cam Neely, Jeremy Swayman & Patrice Bergeron of the Boston Bruins for reaching out and making Craig feel so welcomed by your first-class organization.
Lastly, a special thank you to Chaps Saloon for hosting a benefit in Craig’s honor which is in lieu of services. We are all so grateful that Craig was able to capture the love everyone shared for him. A private gathering will be held for the family at a later date.
