John Francis Lordan, Sr., age 75, of Medford passed away on Sunday, September 18th. Raised and educated in Medford, he was the son of the late Daniel F. and Margaret M. (Williams) Lordan. John proudly served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. After returning home he lived for many years in Las Vegas, and then moved to Maine to spend time with his daughters and grandchildren, before returning to Medford in 2015. John was employed as a cab driver, was a loyal Bostonian sports fan and loved Elvis. He enjoyed spending time off with his grandchildren, playing golf or just relaxing.
John was the devoted father of Brian Lordan and his wife Dawn of Billerica, Diana Lordan of Kennebunk, ME, John "Jack" F. Lordan, Jr. of Waltham, and the late Kristy Sibley. He was the loving grandfather of Tyler Lordan, Chase and Alyssa Sibley, and Alexis and Gia Lordan. John was the dear brother of Noreen Lordan of Hudson, NH, Daniel Lordan of Beverly, Linda Bottari of Medford and her late husband Stephen, and the late James Lordan. He is also survived by his former wives Eleanor Ford, and Donna Reid, and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, on Thursday, September 22nd, at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with family in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford from 9 through 11 AM. Services will conclude with graveside prayers at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
