Worcester: StePHen Roy Blondin, 62 of Worcester, MA passed away peacefully at "his place" on September 17, 2022. He leaves a son and a daughter, sisters Peggy Blondin and Paula Sheehan of Worcester, MA; aunts, cousins, nieces, and Bella Betsy.
StePHen was born in Worcester, son of the late Shirley (Nygard) and Armand Blondin. He graduated from Burncoat High School and spent a short time proudly serving his country in the US Navy. He worked in the construction industry as a roofer with his father. He loved motorcycles, sports, watching Family Feud, watching and listening to music- especially Journey and Neil Diamond. He loved his cat of 20 years, Smokey, and eating his favorite foods- pistachios, pizza, milk, and pasta. He was very proud of his long term sobriety.
The family thanks the staff at Worcester Rehab and Health Care at 119 Providence St. Worcester and Sarah from the Hospice of Western and Central MA for their compassionate care of StePHen.
Greendale People's Church, 25 Francis Street, Worcester, MA is officiating Stephen's memorial service. Services will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022 starting at 2 pm in the chapel.
The family requests flowers to be omitted and donations to be made in StePHen's memory to Tufts University, Small Animal Hospital, 55 Willard Street, N. Grafton, MA. 01536.
