Eugene Youghn, 92, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Irwin County Hospital in Ocilla, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Irwin County, with the Rev. James Griffin officiating. The eulogies will be delivered by Karen Youghn Noe and Kim Youghn. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services in the sanctuary of the church.
Mr. Youghn was born January 30, 1930, in Wray, Georgia, to the late Onnie & Dora Richardson Youghn. He lived in the community all of his life and was a lifetime farmer. Mr. Youghn loved animals, fishing, riding motorcycles and spending time with his family.
He is survived by a son, Donnie & Kim Youghn of Ocilla; a daughter, Karen Youghn Noe of Atlanta; grandchildren: Bryan Youghn, Cody & Anna Youghn and Kaley Youghn; great-grandchildren: Zach & Katie Youghn, Zoey Youghn, Jax Youghn and Walker Youghn; great-great-grandchildren: Henley Kate Youghn and Halyen Youghn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice McSwain Youghn; a son, Chris Youghn; one brother, Adolphus “Doc” Youghn; and four sisters: Barbara Ross, Naomi Harper, Lora Harper and Effie Purvis.
