Eileen A. Clinton (McGonagle) 61, of Bellingham (formerly West Roxbury), passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday September 13, 2022.
Eileen was pre-deceased by her mother Marjorie O. McGonagle (Duerden) and her father James E. McGonagle.
Eileen is survived by her husband of 38 years, Kevin Clinton of Bellingham (formerly Roslindale). She is also survived by her five children: Richard Clinton; Meghan Olney; Michael Clinton; Kacie Clinton; and Kevin T. Clinton, all of Bellingham. She is also survived by her two grandchildren: Joshua Clinton and Gary Olney.
Eileen is also survived by her five brothers and sisters: James McGonagle of West Roxbury; Patrick McGonagle and his wife Terri McGonagle (Shaw) of Foxboro; Hugh McGonagle and his wife Sandra McGonagle (Ribeiro) of West Roxbury; Catherine Mayo-Figenbaum (McGonagle) and her husband Robert Figenbaum of Reading; and Margaret Mannion (McGonagle) and her husband Michael Mannion of Lynn.
She leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Eileen was a lover of gardening and was very proud to show off the fruits of her labor. She made sure to give away her extra fruits and vegetables to anyone who dropped by. Eileen was a lifelong fan of bingo and could play multiple cards when everyone else struggled to keep up with one. She also loved going out bowling with her husband and played in a bowling league. Eileen loved to read, decorate for the holidays, and was famous for her homemade brownies.
Visiting hours are from 3:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday September 20, 2022 at the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage Street, Franklin.
A Catholic Mass will be held at 9:00am on Wednesday September 21st, at St. Blaise Parish, at 1158 S Main St, Bellingham. Afterwards, please join Eileen’s family to celebrate her life at the Bellingham Sportsmans Club at 360 Lake St, Bellingham.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Eileen’s memory may be sent to a breast cancer charity of your choice.
