Lola C.DiPillo passed away on her Birthday on August 16, 2022 at the age of 91.
Born in Ossining, NY at Ossining Hospital in 1931 she was the daughter of Oreste and Adelina Baccari and the youngest of seven children.
Lola shared 44 years together with her husband Arthur S. DiPillo until his passing in 1995.
Lola was known for her love of her family . She came from a large family and at a young age took care of her nieces and nephews. Once she married she didn’t hesitate to start a family of her own and had three boys Arthur , Robert and Gary. They were her pride and joy.
Once she became a grandmother she enjoyed her family time even more. She loved spending her Sunday’s with her son Robert, daughter in law Cynthia and grandchildren Alyssa, Kristin (predeceased) and Bobby Jr. She enjoyed a casual, quiet day at the house (always with a plate of pitzelles in hand) but also never turned down an opportunity to go out to eat . Her and her granddaughter Kristin’s favorite spot was The Briars. On a nice sunny day , she liked to watch her grandson Bobby play baseball.
Lola was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St Ann’s Church of Ossining. She loved her parish and loved to volunteer and became a member of the Altar Guild. She was also a big part of the Sodality where she formed strong bonds with many and within formed lifelong friendships. She never missed a gathering or event. You could always find her making pizza frites at the St.Ann’s Festival every summer.
She had many girlfriends and loved going on all kinds of outings with them. Playing cards was one of her favorite pastimes and she was said by many to be the “life of the party”.
A mass was held at St. Ann’s Church and burial at St. Augustine’s Cemetery. She was shown an outpouring of love by many friends and family, all who had fond stories to tell. She will be missed but never forgotten and her memory will live on in all that knew her.
