Kenneth L. Allen, 74, of Hillcrest Road, Litchfield, NH died Friday November 23, 2001 at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH. He was born on February 4, 1927 in Somerville, MA, a son of the late Lester L. and Elizabeth (Aker) Allen. He was a resident of Litchfield, NH for five years, formerly living in Naples, ME and Arlington, MA. He was employed as a truck driver for Nabisco for almost 39 years. He was a member of the Litchfield Community Church, Litchfield.
He is survived by his wife, Jean E. (King) Allen, Litchfield, three sons, John K. Allen, Otisfield, ME, Thomas M. Allen, Manchester, NH, David B. Allen, Londonderry, NH, one daughter, Susan R. Smith, Litchfield, foster daughter, Mary Lyman, Westford, MA, twelve grandchildren, one brother, Victor Allen, Franklin, NH, and five nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother Lester Allen in 1993.
Calling hours will be Monday November 26th from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry, NH. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held Tuesday November 27th at 2:00PM at the Litchfield Community Church, Charles Bancroft Highway, Litchfield. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Litchfield Community Church, 259 Charles Bancroft Highway, Litchfield, NH 03052, Attn: Treasurer
