FALL RIVER … Manuel Rosa Jr., 79, of Fall River passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022, at his home.
Mr. Rosa was born in Fall River, a son of Manuel and Eva (Arruda) Rosa and had lived most of his life in Fall River.
Manuel was preceded in death by his sister Patricia Rosa and wife Patricia (Aguiar) Rosa and survived by his son David Rosa and wife Frances of Tiverton, four grandchildren Ryan, Joshua, Dimitri, and Dalila, as well as two great grandchildren Cameron-Ray and Quinn.
He graduated from BMC Durfee in 1960, then joined the Army where he served as a marksman in the Vietnam War and earned three service medals for his sacrifice.
Mr. Rosa was the general manager of Fall River Florist Co. until his retirement in 1996. He enjoyed TV, Old Movies, talking with friends daily, and going to the VFW for meat raffles.
Relatives and friends are invited to Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum for his service Thursday, September 15, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. If you can’t make the service, have a jelly doughnut in his honor.
