Ernest (Ernie) S. Adams (86) born and raised in Malden, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2022. He was the beloved life partner of Arlene Zolondick (survived), Former husband to Evelyn Adams (survived), Brother to his older sister Charlotte Caron (survived), and Brother to Hugh Adams and Barbara Adams who preceded him in death. Father to Michael Adams, Peter Adams, and Tommy Adams (all survived) and David Adams (who sadly preceded him in death). Grandfather to David, Sara, Erica and Rachel. Ernie was Step-father to Karen Granger (Zolondick), Adrienne Zolondick, and Steven Zolondick, Grandfather to Alicia, Sarah, Talia, and Ari (Zolondick) and Riley and Abigail (Granger).
Ernie had an industrious career as an accountant, helping many young business people “stay out of jail”, as said in a client’s own words. He was a playful jokester, jovial, and joyful man who was ahead of his time as a computer expert. He enjoyed swing and ballroom dance in his younger years, where he met Arlene, and they enjoyed this together. He learned to draw (self taught) in his 50’s and taught this to his grandchildren, imparting in them a love of creativity and a spirit of lifelong learning.
During his last days, Ernie’s sons were able to spend time with him as well as his step children and grandchildren who held his hand and sang songs. Ernie joked with all right up until the end. The fact that so many loved ones were by his side made this a beautiful and peaceful passing for him.
