Simone M. (Courchesne) Dube, age 83, passed away on Sept. 4, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 3, 1939 in Holyoke, a daughter of the late Rudolph and Cecile Courchesne. Simone worked at Spalding Sports Worldwide in Chicopee for over 35 years. She moved to Florida to enjoy retirement with her spouse and returned to Massachusetts three years ago. She loved bowling, ceramics, crafts, sewing, cribbage and traveling. She was an active and faithful communicant of Saint Francis of Assisi Parish of Belchertown. Simone is survived by her spouse of 66 years, Richard A. Dube of Belchertown. They met while working at Spalding and were married at Precious Blood Church in Holyoke on August 4, 1956. Simone leaves three children Richard L. Dube and his wife Vickie of Brookville, OH, Rene Dube and his wife MaryKay of Ludlow, Theresa Cadieux and her husband Darren of Belchertown. She is survived by her sister, Geraldine Durand of Virginia, several nieces and nephews and a brother-in-law Leo Dube of Chicopee. She was predeceased by her brother Rudolph Courchesne. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Crystal Mosko, Ryan Cadieux, Todd Dube and his wife Bridget, Nicole Seidel and her husband Danny and Donny Dube. She adored her great-grandchildren Dominic and Audrey Mosko, Madison Cadieux, Miles Dube and Liam Seidel. She had a special place in her heart for Crystal and Todd’s mother Cheryl Abert of Chicopee.
