PARSONSFIELD- Robert Dennis Dehmer, age 56, passed away on Sept. 5, 2022, at Maine Medical Center.
He was born in Amityville, NY on April 8, 1966, the son of the late Robert and Irene (Martin) Dehmer. During his childhood years, Rob was raised in Long Island, NY and Porter, ME. He often shared stories of his family’s time running the old Porter Store.
He is a Sacopee Valley High School graduate and received an associate degree from SMVTI following his service in the Marines.
Throughout his working years, Rob worked as a mechanical designer and project engineer and will be remembered for his dedication and hard work ethic.
Robert enjoyed watching Jeopardy, playing disc golf, coaching his children’s recreational basketball and baseball teams, and collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia; however, it was his love for family – especially being a Dad that was most important to him.
Rob will be remembered for his soft spoken kindness and genuine concern for others. He always had a gentle smile to offer, quick dry joke, and a memorable story to share.
He is predeceased by his sister- Debbie Dehmer, and his niece Melissa Scott.
Robert is survived by his children- Grace Dehmer of Saco, R. Jameson Dehmer of Saco, and Bethany Dehmer of Augusta; and a sister- Maureen Dehmer of Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Saturday Sept. 17 from 10 – 11 AM, at the Poitras, Neal & York Funeral Home, 71 Maple St., Cornish. A service will immediately follow at 11 AM at the funeral home.
