FEEDING HILLS – Carol E. (Demasi) Alaimo, 60, of Feeding Hills, was Called Safely Home on Labor Day, Monday, September 5, 2022. She passed into Eternal Life at home surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Springfield on January 4, 1962, a beloved daughter of the late James C. and Thelma J. (Shinaberry) Demasi. She was raised in Springfield and graduated from the High School of Commerce. She furthered her education and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from American International College and a Master’s Degree in Business from Western New England College, both in Springfield. She lived in Holyoke and Chicopee before moving to Feeding Hills in November of 2002 where she lived the remainder of her life. She began her career as an accountant at Spalding Worldwide in Chicopee and later at Pioneer Cold in Springfield and Hamilton Sundstrand in Windsor Locks, CT. She was a longtime Girl Scout Leader and Junior Achievement Volunteer. She enjoyed walking, hiking and soaking in the sun at Hampton Beach and Misquamicut Beach. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Feeding Hills where she volunteered as a manager for the parish gift shop. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and her many friends. She leaves her beloved husband and best friend, David P. Alaimo. They were married at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in Springfield on June 22, 1991 and were blessed with over 31 years of happiness together. She also leaves her two loving daughters, Amy E. Alaimo of Feeding Hills and Megan M. Alaimo and her fiancé, Devin Miles, of Chicopee; her brother, James Demasi, Jr. of Florida; her four dear sisters, Ann Kudlic and her husband, Greg, of Feeding Hills, Deborah March and her husband, David, of Chicago, IL, Ellen Zordani and her husband, Gary, of Agawam and Linda Elliot and her husband, Kevin, of Missouri; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended family members. Her relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 1065 Springfield Street, Feeding Hills, MA 01030, (please meet directly at the church). Her Burial will be private. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020 .The parking lot and main entrance of the funeral home are located in the rear at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
