Obituary

Marjorie “Margie” Terzian, 93, of Whitman, Massachusetts passed away peacefully at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital on August 18, 2022.

Born in Whitman in 1929 to the late Charlotte and Markar Terzian, Marjorie graduated from Whitman High School in 1947 where her activity and dedication to friends and community shined, earning her the yearbook quote “as sweet as they come”.

Marjorie went on to attend secretarial school and enjoyed a long and successful career culminating in her retirement as an executive assistant at State Street Bank.

Marjorie was extremely generous with her time and truly loved spending it with her family, hosting family events on her porch, going to the beach, or simply spending time together talking about fond memories and planning new ones.

In retirement she developed a love of painting and received multiple awards and recognitions from her contributions to local art shows, including the Marshfield Fair.

In addition to her family Marjorie was heavily involved with the First Congregational church in Whitman, the Garden Club, and the Whitman Senior Center. She was loved by all that knew her and could frequently be seen on her daily walks around town or at “The Bench” at Harvard Court.

She leaves behind her sister Rose Winiewicz of Halifax, nephews Michael White of Hanson and David White Sharon, niece Adrienne White of Kissimmee Florida, grand nephews and niece Keith, Tyler, Chris, Hannah, and Alexander White, and an extended family in Rhode Island.

The family will be holding a small private burial service. Memorial donations may be made to the First Congregational Church or the Whitman Council on Aging.
