Walter Isaac Scott
Retired Raytheon Manager

TEWKSBURY: Walter I. Scott, age 94, passed away at Lowell General Hospital- Saints Campus on Thursday, September 1, 2022.

Walter’s wife, Lillian C. Scott, passed away March 20, 2016, after 64 years of marriage.

Walter was born in Woodbury, New Jersey, the son of the late Samuel J. and Bertha J. (Jones) Scott.

He graduated from Woodbury High School, Woodbury, New Jersey, and Bale Vocational School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

In 1950, Walter enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served during the Korea War era and was awarded the Army Occupation Medal (Germany) for his active-duty service.

Walter worked for 20 years for RCA in drafting and data management and for 18 years for Raytheon as a manager of data management.

He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Tewksbury since their family moved to Tewksbury from Arizona in 1965.

Walter enjoyed attending workshops at the Tewksbury Senior Center and treasured time spent with his family and church family.

Walter was the father of Dawn Boyce and her husband Charles, of Tewksbury, the late David W. Scott and his surviving wife Robin, of Lowell, Daniel Scott and his late wife Cheryl, of Derry, NH, Dale Scott and his wife Catherine, of Stanford, MT. He was the grandfather of Randall Boyce and his wife Kimberly, Jennifer O’Leary and her husband Richard, Amy Campbell and her husband Joseph, Suzanne Kelley Scott and her spouse Elizabeth Kelley Scott, Shawn Scott and his wife Lauren, Carol Boissoneault and her husband Daniel, Cathleen Ineson and her husband Simon, Diane Greenwood and her husband Brandon, Jason Scott and his wife Cathy, Jill Barrett and her husband Ryan and the late Christine Ann Scott. Walter also leaves twenty-one great grandchildren.

Calling hours Wednesday, September 7th, from 4-7 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 8th, at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 1500 Andover St., Rte. 133, Tewksbury. All are asked to please meet at the church. Interment to follow at St. Mary Cemetery, 90 River Road, Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Friends of the Elderly, 175 Chandler St., Tewksbury, MA 01876.
