Walter Thomas Stamp, a resident of Derry, New Hampshire and raised in Woburn, Massachusetts, passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at the Lahey-Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. He was 56 years old.
He was the son of Walter J. and Margaret A. (Mobilia) Stamp of Port St. Lucie, Florida, formerly of Woburn. Walter was a graduate of the Woburn High School, class of 1983.
Skippy or Skip as most of us knew him was a man of few words with a unique humor that could get the entire room laughing. Skippy used to love to play the guitar. Some of his favorite days were spent with rescue animals that he has inherited over the years. Skippy has made many friends he considered family over the years.
Besides his beloved parents, Walter and Margaret Stamp, Skippy is survived by his uncle; Charles Mobilia of Medford, brother; James Stamp and his wife Justine of Mont Vernon, New Hampshire and sister; Melissa Giarratano and her husband John of Port Saint Lucie, Florida. Skippy is also survived by three nieces; Samantha and Christina Zagzoug and Lea Giarratano and two nephews; Steven Zagzoug and Joseph Dasilva all of Florida.
His funeral service will be celebrated in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at 6 PM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Visitation will be held in the funeral home, prior to the service, from 4 to 6 PM. Interment will be privately held.
