In Raynham, Roland Souza, age 82, passed away in his home following a lengthy illness while surrounded by his loving family on August 30, 2022. Roland is survived by his beloved wife Marie (Courcy) Souza of sixty years. He was born in Dighton, the son of the late Francis & Rose (Roderick) Souza.
Roland was resident of Raynham since 2013 and formerly of Taunton and Dighton. He was educated in Dighton schools and a graduate of Johnson & Wale University in Providence, RI. Roland had worked as an accountant until his retirement. He enjoyed going to the beach, bowling, playing the saxophone, listening to music, dancing, dining out, and above all cherished the time spent with family & friends.
Roland leaves his loving children; Michelle Souza of Taunton, Lisa Rowley of Taunton, Lynn Borges and husband Dennis of Dennis, MA, Christopher Souza of Raynham, and Paula Miranda and husband Lance of Berkley. He also leaves his grandchildren; Glenn Rogers Jr. of Dighton, Barry Rowley Jr. of Taunton and Nicole Rowley of Taunton, his great grandchildren; Cole, Brayden, Madison, Abbeygael and Emma, and his dear niece Brenda Noons and family.
Funeral home visiting hours are from 8:30-10am. at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Tuesday, Sept. 6th Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann’s Church in Raynham at 11am. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton.
